1. Who We Are
Solipair ("we", "us", "our") is a free-to-play FreeCell card game. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the app, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect
Account data (only if you create an account)
- Email address — used to log you in and send a verification email.
- Password — stored as a secure hash; we never see it in plain text.
- Display name — the name you choose, shown on leaderboards and to friends.
- Friend code — a short code auto-generated for your account so others can add you.
Game data (only if you create an account)
- Daily scores — used to populate the leaderboard.
- Current game state — so you can resume a game across devices.
Device-only data (never sent to our servers)
When you play without an account, all data stays on your device in your browser's local storage:
- Saved game progress
- Settings (font size, layout, auto-foundation, move error hints)
- Streak level and daily stats
- Whether you have completed the tutorial
Data we do NOT collect
- We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels.
- We do not collect your IP address beyond what Supabase logs for security purposes.
- We do not use third-party analytics (e.g. Google Analytics).
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide the game and keep your progress in sync across devices.
- To display your scores on the leaderboard.
- To let you connect with friends via friend codes.
- To send you a one-time account verification email.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data Storage & Processors
Your account and game data are stored with Supabase (supabase.com), a US-based database provider. Supabase is our only data processor. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Data may be stored on servers in the United States. If you are in the UK or EEA, this means your data is transferred internationally. This transfer is covered by Supabase's compliance with Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to save game preferences and progress locally. If you create an account, Supabase sets a session token in local storage to keep you logged in. This is strictly necessary for the service to function.

6. Additional Rights for UK Users
If you are based in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR applies to your data.
Legal basis for processing
- Contract performance — processing your email and display name to provide the account and game features you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — storing daily scores to operate the leaderboard.
Your rights
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data (e.g. update your display name in-app).
- Right to data portability — request your data in a portable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.

7. Additional Rights for US Users
Depending on the state you live in (including California, Colorado, Virginia, and others), you may have the following rights under applicable state privacy laws (e.g. CCPA/CPRA).

- Right to know — request disclosure of the personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to data portability — request your data in a portable format.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes, so this right is not currently applicable.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

- Identifiers (email address, display name)
- Internet or network activity (in-game session data processed by Supabase)

8. Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days. Device-only local storage data remains on your device until you clear your browser data or uninstall the app.
9. Children's Privacy
Solipair is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
